DIY Statement necklace

Finally, its raining in chennai and the weather is so beautiful. Just singing the song “Sara sara saara kaathu veesumbothu saara paatha pesumbothu saara pambu pola nenju satham poduthe!! “
With Pleasant breeze, drizzle, with a cup of tea – I started my craft work ๐Ÿ™‚

Materials required:-
Thread of your choice (I used cone thread)
beads (I used golden color metal beads)
A pair of scissors
chain
A3 size canvas (or you can use a big notebook to wind the thread – not pictured)
Pliers (not pictured)

Start winding your thread around the canvas, I did 30 times.

Now tie on one end and cut the thread on the other side. It should look like this now

Now clip the knotted end to a thick notebook or canvas using a cloth pin

Start separating the thread into 3 section. Start braiding.

Try to make a curved braid so that it sits comfortably on your neck

Decide how your beads should look on the thread

Now start stitching the beads on to thread. This is where it took me more time.

Now start stitching the chain on the thread. Just make sure the chain aligns the bended braid thread.

Your necklace is ready ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t it beautiful??
